our story

Oceanside Writing was founded by David Ferris, a 15-year veteran of the publishing and ghostwriting industry. He cut his editorial chops with an academic press and later one of the Big Four publishing companies before working as a freelance ghostwriter for some of the biggest companies in the industry.

Oceanside was founded on the notion that a boutique company with an elite team of a few hand-picked writers and editors can deliver the same quality and the range of service offerings as larger competitors without charging exorbitant prices.

During his career as ghostwriter and editor, David has helped countless authors realize their vision. David holds a B.A. in Political Science from Columbia University and a Master’s in Documentary Filmmaking from a prestigious European arts school.
