Self-publishing can be daunting. There are so many companies to choose from, and they all want to take your money. How to pick one? Or, you can take the DIY approach, but it gets overwhelming. Where do you find a cover designer? How do you know if they’ll deliver? Who is going to format your book? What does formatting even entail? How do you know which margins, font, typeface, etc. to use? Which trim size do you select? What the heck is trim size anyway? And so you try to design the cover yourself, or hire someone on the cheap to do it. But your designer doesn’t actually have any experience with book covers, and the cover they create looks odd and has a length/width/depth that doesn’t fit your book.
Then, as you keep slogging through the process, you find that your ebook pages are misaligned, the cover photograph is blurry because the designer used a low-res image, and the table of contents is inaccurate because the formatter didn’t update the page numbering. So many things can go wrong in the process. Self-publishing can be complicated, but it doesn’t have to be. Let us take the burden off your shoulders.

The process

30-minute intake call where we discuss your needs and expectations, explain the process, answer any questions, and.

Formatting and layout: we take your manuscript and format it to look like any professionally published book on your shelf, with proper design and aesthetic touches.

Cover design: our designer will provide three “mock-ups” (examples) of covers to choose from, based on your vision. If you aren’t sure how you’d like your cover to look, we’ll discuss it together and come up with some ideas.

Once the cover design is finalized (based on your wishes), we’re ready to publish on Amazon/KDP.

We help you with obtaining an ISBN (the unique identifying number all published books must have), strategically select the Amazon book categories and keywords that will direct potential readers to your book, and advise you on options for printing and other administrative nuts and bolts.
