Oceanside Writing is a boutique creative services firm that combines the rigor and prestige of large ghostwriting companies with the efficiency, value, and finger-on-the-pulse discernment of smaller firms.

our story

Oceanside Writing was founded by David Ferris, a 15-year veteran of the publishing and ghostwriting industry. He cut his editorial chops with an academic press and later one of the Big Four publishing companies before working as a freelance ghostwriter for some of the biggest companies in the industry.

Oceanside was founded on the notion that a boutique company with an elite team of a few hand-picked writers and editors can deliver the same quality and the range of service offerings as larger competitors without charging exorbitant prices.

During his career as ghostwriter and editor, David has helped countless authors realize their vision. David holds a B.A. in Political Science from Columbia University, a Master’s in Journalism from Northwestern University, and a Master’s in Documentary Filmmaking (joint degree from LUCA School of Arts in Brussels and the Academy of Film and Drama in Budapest.)
